Sheep Corral Sample Designs

ProWay products are proudly designed and manufactured in
Australia and the USA, and installed all over the world.

OVER 20 YEARS OF QUALITY DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE

All sheep enterprises have unique requirements, because of this the best corral design is the one that is tailored to suit your operation.

ProWay don’t sell corrals straight out of a catalogue. We use our range of standard designs as a benchmark for working capacity which are then fine-tuned to meet the individual needs of our clients. In many cases we design from scratch, drawing on our extensive design library to create a facility specific to your needs.

PROWAY Corrals ARE DESIGNED & BUILT TO LAST GENERATIONS

Details such as operator and vehicle access, where gates swing from, gate length, orientation, corners in corrals and pen size all influence stock flow.

All ProWay facilities are drawn with CAD software to ensure measurements are accurate and fit as designed come construction.

THE PROWAY DESIGN ADVANTAGE

ProWay measure your site with survey and satellite data to record relevant existing fence lines, elevation, roof structures, trees and other infrastructure or services which can be factored into your new facility. This provides a significant advantage and cost saving as in many cases, existing holding corrals or structures can be utilized in the new build.

For green field sites we work with you to ensure site selection will best suit your property including best access for stock, operators and trucks.

On top of your design, we provide site preparation guides which can include recommended new fence lines, laneways and earthworks, as well as turning circles for semi and b-double trailers so you can be sure everything fits.

SHEEP SERPENTINE sorting alley

  • Developed to aid sorting, particularly in British breed and crossbred sheep. It is also equally effective in merino sheep
  • The combination of the tight curve and the tapered sides in the path they must travel, restricts the speed of the sheep, giving the operator comfortable time to make their sorting decision
  • Sheep tend to watch their feet as they are negotiating the curve so are less focused on watching the operator
  • The net effect is more consistent flow of sheep at a moderate speed allowing accurate sorting
